H & H RACING PRESS RELEASE, April 21, 2014

2014 looks to be a slow season for the H & H Racing Team.  Don purchased a chassis over the winter with plans to assemble it over the summer months.  The reason for the off season is Don is going to build a new house on his Sussex County farm.

Don would like to invite everyone to listen to Hot Country 107.7 at 7:15 am on Mon and Thurs.  Don is doing a Nascar radio spot on Hot Country.  If you can’t pick up the station locally, go to HotCountry107.7.com to listen.

Don will be at the Georgetown Speedway on a few occasions to lend a hand on the pit side for a few racing friends.   See you at the track!

Press Release – H & H Racing, June 24, 2010
H & H Racing has taken some time off to relocate the race shop from Kennett Square PA to Greenwood DE. Don’s residence has also relocated to Greenwood, DE. Presently, the Kennett Square race car shop and house is on the market for sale. The big city that Don has grown up in has now become a faded memory as now he has become a farmer and enjoying life in the country.
Last year the H & H team ran 4 shows at DIS and Georgetown, DE with bad results on Memorial Day 2009, involving a flip and losing one car. Plans this year have 3 race dates: May 15th at DIS, got to the track late, started at rear of field and finished 11th; June 26th at DIS, Wings and Things Show; and October 10th in Georgetown.  With the time it takes to run the farm and the race car crew still living up north, it leaves little time to work on the race car, hence the reason for the 3 date season.
Current sponsors of H & H Racing include: Dependable Land Maintenance & Tree Service, FASTSIGNS, Atlantic Speed Center, Simpson Products, Ploener’s Automotive Products, Jess Auto Parts, Don’s Lawn Service, Fastenal, Superwinch, Don’s Tree Farm and H & H Lawn Service.
At 55 years old, Don would still like to race 7 nights a week, but he understands that it is not happening with very little pit crew help. Don is enjoying life in lower Delaware after spending his entire life in Wilm/Phila area. Don’s new farm is a Christmas Tree Farm along with growing pumpkins, mums and soybeans.

Press Release – H & H Racing, May 27, 2009
H & H Racing was at Delaware International Speedway this past weekend, Saturday, May 23rd for the ‘Run What You Brung’ show. Unfortunately, the transmission broke during hot laps and we were not able to continue on. The crew then went back to the shop and began putting together another car to race on Sunday night at Georgetown Speedway. After working until the wee hours of the morning, they set off to race at Georgetown. Rough track conditions caused a right front spindle failure during the feature. The car lost a right front wheel, axle dug in and flipped car. Don walked away from the car without even a headache or a stiff neck. Don credits the strength of the Troyer chassis. The cage was layed over 35 to 40 degrees from the hit, but no bars or welds broke. He also credits his condition to Trevor Ashline’s D-Cell Head and Neck restraints. Don started wearing the D-Cell in 2003 when he met Trevor at a Charlotte DIRT race. “The D-Cell saved my neck!”
Bottom Line – the car’s junk but Don is just fine.
